This is very very true but really addressed the issue of UX for finding things. I’m not sure a biological model is the best paradigm. As a Mac and Linux user, i appreciate spotlight but i agree — we spend far too much time in our life looking for stuff.
The UX today is far too complicated.
A simple workspace like a Google doc would be a better model. You could interact with your workspaces with voice, hands, eyes, mouse or keyboard,
It shouldn’t matter.
You shouldn’t have to think about finding your stuff. It should just show up in as workspace when you need it.
Search should just fit in to writing, coding, creative and listening/watching/smelling.
For my money this is the future.
